FORT COLLINS, CO, October 9, 2013: Investor/developer MAVDevelopment is demonstrating its commitment to Old Town Fort Collins through current and future plans for their property at 221 East Mountain Avenue. With offices in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Denver, the company is positioning the building’s existing tenant, Mountain View Tire Factory, to thrive as they work through details of the development of the property.
The Tire Factory has occupied the space since MAVD took over ownership in 2011. With the state of the market at that time, MAVD committed to putting a tenant in place that would be successful in that location until plans for its future development were further solidified. Since opening there, Mountain View Tire Factory’s business has grown and the retailer has benefited from the accessibility the location provides to its clients.
In the past two years, MAVD has refined plans for the development of the property into a best-in-class mixed-use project. The 50,000 SF project will offer retail and office tenants high visibility, large floor plate options, timeless design and optimum convenience in the heart of Old Town.
With downtown real estate tightening and demand for premium locations increasing, the building will serve a significant need for new product in the market.
When the construction timeline is set, MAVD will assist Mountain View Tire Factory in locating potential new locations to ensure that their operations continue to flourish.
Brinkman Partners brokers Kevin Brinkman, Josh Guernsey and Greg Roeder are assisting MAVD in securing tenants.
In the past five years, MAVD has increased their activity in Fort Collins and demonstrated a commitment to the Northern Colorado community as well as concerted interest in developing in this market. They are also actively developing Harmony Technology Park, a 105 acre parcel along the Harmony corridor. The master plan for the park includes office, retail, flex/light industrial and medical buildings.
