LOVELAND, CO, February 12, 2013: Brinkman Construction has completed work on Open MRI of the Rockies. This remodel project is located in an existing MRI suite within Medical Center of the Rockies.
The scope of work consisted of the remodel of an existing MRI scan, control and equipment rooms including modifications to the current radio frequency shield, new finishes throughout the scan room, plumbing, HVAC and electrical work.
A major portion of the project centered on the installation of a new Hitachi Oasis Open MRI machine. Due to the strength of the magnet in the MRI, it had to be installed along with very specific construction requirements. The machine had to be brought into the space through the exterior wall which involved removing an exterior access panel, installing the MRI into the space, reframing the exterior opening and installing new brick to match the existing. Brinkman’s portion of the project needed to be completed quickly so that Hitachi could finish their installation and equipment start-up for the owner. This marks one of the most state-of-the-art open MRI’s in Northern Colorado.
With numerous neighboring tenants operating on normal schedules, great care was taken to ensure there were no disturbances to their ongoing business.
“We were very happy with the quality of the work and how the project was on schedule and within budget. We would gladly use Brinkman Construction again in the future,” said owner Willy Hammon.
