FORT COLLINS, CO, March 5, 2013: Brinkman Construction has finished a renovation project for Team Fort Collins within the Fort Collins Museum of Art (FCMOA). The space is located in the 21,000 SF, historic Post Office Building at 201 South College. The project included the build out of new offices and extensive interior improvements to the whole third floor of building.
Team Fort Collins relocated to this new space on the third floor of the museum from the basement level. The non-profit organization promotes healthy lifestyle choices through the prevention of substance abuse. Since the organization formed in 1989, it has focused on youth and offered prevention education to middle and high school students. Team Fort Collins’ staff also educates parents on topics related to youth substance use, convenes community groups and provides opportunities for youth activities in safe, substance-free environments.
Brinkman Partners purchased the FCMOA in August of 2012 and is handling all of the property management. Since their acquisition, Brinkman has been committed to renovating the building to better accommodate tenants and analyze opportunities for further utilization of this iconic space. They are working closely with the City to assess future plans.
“The work done by Team Fort Collins is integral to our community. We can’t say enough about what they do and the value they provide. We were glad to have the opportunity to assist them in creating a space that is more functional and conducive to their daily operations,” said Kevin Brinkman, president and co-founder of Brinkman Partners.
